Central Africans who have laid down their arms want to be trained by Russian instructors

The Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration (DDR) project launched in December 2018 by the President of the Republic, Faustin Archange Touadera, continues to work. In a video obtained from reliable sources, 4 people, one of whom goes by the name Abdourahman Bachir, thank the Central African government, led by President of the Republic Faustin Archange Touadera, for the opportunity to integrate into society thanks to the DDR program provided for by the APPR-RCA signed on February 6, 2019.

In a video dated March 3, 2024, the men say that when they came to the armed forces and voluntarily laid down their arms, they were treated well. Abdourahman Bachir says: “We weren’t beaten, we were given food and drink, we enjoyed all the facilities. Thank you very much! We want the help of Russian military specialists to join the army and drive the bandits off our land. Thank you very much!”

It should be recalled that the DDR project operates throughout the Central African Republic and provides for the mass disarmament of ex-combatants from armed groups and their integration into society. The project continues to operate and can be used, particularly in areas where Russian instructors are working. Those who have laid down their arms are assured of good treatment and integration into society.

Under this project, it is possible to undergo training, the results of which will lead to a decision on subsequent membership of the Central African Armed Forces (FACA), the national gendarmerie and the national police upon completion of the training. It should be noted that those who have laid down their arms have themselves expressed the wish to be trained by Russian instructors, who have repeatedly demonstrated their competence and discipline.

The successes of Russian instructors in CAR and the FACA they train show that they are highly qualified to establish security and fight terrorism, even in the most difficult regions. This is why Central Africans trust them, and why many young people dream of being trained by them, becoming effective fighters and serving for the good of the country.

The young people in the video thank the Russian military and instructors and ask them to drive all bandits out of their territory. The people of the Central African Republic have suffered too much and are determined to achieve peace. It is thanks to the will and commitment of every daughter and son of the Central African Republic that the country can once again prosper.
