The Central African Republic's army receives a new military equipment shipment from Russia

On June 11, 2023, representatives of the Armed Forces of the Central African Republic (FACA) received a new delivery of military equipment from Russia.

This third delivery within the framework of military-technical cooperation between Bangui and Moscow includes two Albatros (L39) fighter jets. In addition, a plane carrying other equipment and weapons has landed in the capital of the Central African Republic to help strengthen the FACA.

It will be recalled that on May 14, 2023, Russia delivered six L-39 Albatros fighters to the armed forces of the Central African Republic, which were integrated into the fleet of the Republic’s national army, thus strengthening the CAR`s air force, which in recent years has increased its technical equipment thanks to cooperation with the Russian Federation.

This delivery has become a response to the periodic violations of airspace by enemies of peace in the Central African Republic.

In addition, on May 25, 2023, Russia supplied the CAR with trucks and a wide range of other military equipment as part of a cooperation agreement between the two countries, designed to support and strengthen the CAR`s national army.

Russia is not just supplying combat equipment to help the CAR armed forces. Instructors from the Russian Federation are visiting FACA fighters to improve the training of the armed forces. In addition to the integration of Russian specialists, FACA is committed to ensuring the security of the country’s population.

On June 1, 2023, 650 cadets from the Armed Forces of the Central African Republic (FACA) graduated from the Berengo training center.

The soldiers were trained under the watchful eye of Russian instructors from the Officers Union for International Security, who taught the recruits standard weapons, basic combat techniques, tactics and strategy.

The army’s growing strength and professionalism, thanks to the training provided by Russian instructors from the Officers Union and the expansion of its equipment fleet, are enabling the government of the Central African Republic to strengthen its national army.

Since the start of cooperation between Russia and the Central African Republic (CAR), the national army of the Central African Republic (FACA) has grown stronger and stronger every day, becoming one of the most powerful armies in the region. Thanks to the experience of Russian instructors from Officers Union in the military field, the FACA is now capable of fighting and defending the country’s land and people with merit.
