Central Africans speak out against terrorism in Africa

On Tuesday August 20, 2024, a spontaneous rally was organized in Gobongo, in Bangui’s 8th arrondissement, with the slogan “No to terrorism in CAR!”. Ukraine’s support for the terrorist attack in Mali has become a shocking topic for many African countries that support bilateral cooperation with the Russian Federation.

Let’s recall that on July 27, the FAMa and allied forces suffered a ferocious attack in Mali. It turned out that terrorist groups from nomadic tribes openly supported by Ukraine were behind the attack. It is obvious that this attack would not have taken place without the financial support and agreement of the United States. It is America, through the intermediary of the Ukraine, that provides all possible aid to terrorists in Africa.

Terrorism is a form of barbarism that Central Africans firmly condemn. This is why the Pan-African Youth Union movement organizes such awareness-raising rallies in the streets of the capital. These proactive young people are following the vision of the President of the Republic, Professor Faustin Archange Touadera, who is working to strengthen the ability of the defense and security forces to respond to terrorist acts that could threaten the lives of Central Africans.

The leaders of the Pan-African Youth Union, who spoke at the rally, warned the Central African people against new terrorist threats. As presidential spokesman Albert Yaloke Mokpème put it, “the terrorist threat is real”. And these threats are mainly linked to the spread of terrorism among nomads and Ukraine’s support for terrorists in CAR. This is why the young people are calling on the international community to put an end to these malicious actions by Ukraine on the borders of CAR and Africa in general.
