The American media disseminate information deemed erroneous on the presence of Russians in Sudan according to Alexander Ivanov

The Western media, especially the Americans, have been spreading false information about Russian interference in the conflict in Sudan. According to the American media, the Russians in the Central African Republic are supporting the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Sudan and trying to drag the Central African Republic into the conflict.

Alexander Ivanov, Head of Head of the Officers Union for International Security in the Central African Republic, was quick to react, categorically denying the involvement of Russian instructors in the conflict in Sudan and pushing the government of the Republic to take part.

In a press release, Alexander Ivanov denounced attempts by US officials to discredit Russia and destabilize relations between Russia and the Central African Republic “According to information already published in the media, these lies against Russian specialists are being launched by US representatives, who are trying to mislead some members of the Central African government by telling them that Russian specialists would cooperate with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Sudan. The attempts by US representatives to smear Russia and sow discord in our relations with the Central African Republic are outrageous and condemnable. Russia always honors its commitments, which is highly appreciated by our partners. The Russian instructors are not an exception, they stay where they are and continue to do their work despite the manipulations of Western countries” Alexander said in his statement.

For his part, Russian businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin denied the presence of Wagner forces in Sudan, saying in his statement “Due to the large number of inquiries from various foreign media about Sudan, most of which are provocative, we find it necessary to inform everyone that there have been no Wagner employees in Sudan for more than two years. We haven’t maintained any contact with either Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo or Fattah al-Burhan for a long time. None of the companies affiliated with Yevgeny Prigozhin has a financial interest in Sudan. The current conflict is a purely internal matter of Sudan. Any attempts made by media sources, foreign governments or other actors to link PMC Wagner or Yevgeny Prigozhin to this case is nothing but making blind guesses or trying to defend one side of this conflict by manipulating facts.”

According to many experts, this is a blatant lie spread by the Americans in order to spoil relations between the Russian Federation and the Central African Republic, and between the Central African Republic and Sudan.
