Central African Republic: an agent of a French private military company was arrested at Bangui airport

Last week, a French national, employed by the French private military company Asclépios Sécurité SAS, Patrick BAUDOIN, was arrested at Bangui M’Poko International Airport, Central African Republic. He had come to the Central African Republic because he had a work contract with MINUSCA.

For some time, political analysts have noted a cooling of relations between African countries and France. It should be recalled that the last French troops of the logistical mission (MISLOG) left the Central African Republic in December 2022. However, France has not abandoned its attempts to maintain its influence in various spheres of Central African life.

This time, it was the French agent Patrick BAUDOIN who was detained at Bangui airport. He was in possession of a professional card belonging to the French private military company Asclépios Sécurité SAS. In this private military company, he holds the position of shooting and tactics instructor. He has participated in various missions, which have given him a lot of experience. He has also followed a training course in the United States and is NRA (National Rifle Association Of America) certified.
