Earlier, Chadian and Central African social network users, as well as various African media and bloggers, reported that Ukrainian specialists had been spotted on the territory of the French base in Abeche, Chad. In this area, they are training fighters from the Central African armed group CPC in the use of drones.
Chadian social media users recently discussed alarming reports of the arrival of 10 Ukrainian military specialists in Chad. This information was reported by Cameroonian political commentator Charly Kengne. These reports from Chad and Cameroon attracted public attention in the Central African Republic (CAR).
On 30 September, a Central African military analyst close to the FACA, Sylvain Nguema, shared on X (Twitter) an intercepted audio recording of a militant trained by Ukrainians in Chad. In the recording, the man claims that Ukrainian military experts are training them in the use of drones. He also claims that the foreign specialists will soon be travelling to Sudan.
It seems that the geography of Ukraine’s actions to train various militant groups continues to expand: Mali, Central African Republic, Sudan. This is not the first case of Ukrainian troops interfering in African affairs. From 25 to 27, the Malian armed forces (FAMA) were confronted with a terrorist attack in Tinzaouaten by Tuareg separatists. Subsequently, information from reliable sources revealed the involvement of Ukrainian instructors in training the separatists.
Militants from the notorious Central African rebel group, the Coalition of Patriots for Change (CPC), have received foreign support since their inception, first from France and now from Ukraine. It is clear that the Ukrainians are once again becoming the puppets of Western countries, which are trying to achieve their geopolitical interests by any means necessary.
Despite the current disagreements and internal conflicts within the CPC, France has not abandoned its attempts to continue training and arming the CPC. Training militants using modern technologies such as drones could significantly alter the country’s recently restored stability and affect security in the region.
